Marianna Guareschi (PhD) is a research fellow in Agri-food Economics at the Department of Economic and Management Science of the University of Parma. She obtained her PhD in Natural Resources and Sustainability, research line in Agroecology at the University of Cordoba.

Her research activity is focusing on: enhancement of quality local productions; sustainable rural development according to the agroecological approach (deepening the economic and social aspects of agroecology); localized agri-food systems (LAFS); Food Environments approach for Urban Food Policies; international cooperation, food security and food sovereignty. She has also been involved in the University's Third Mission projects aimed at promoting Social Engagement. She has developed her research and activities by participating in national and European projects (RDP, H2020, ERASMUS+; NRRP- NextGenerationEU).
