On 26 September 2020, as part of the Researchers' Night 2020 initiative, in the Aula Magna of the University of Parma, some winners of the Open-Up call, promoted by CSEIA, will present the results of their research activity to the citizens. They are:

  • Raffaella Burrioni, "Black swans and drops that overflow the camel's back: two mechanisms for anomalous events and great fluctuations" (11AM).
  • Alessia Ferrari, "Simulating floods: catastrophic or resilient choice?" (12PM).
  • Ruben Foresti, "Intelligent society and artificial intelligence" (5PM).
  • Tiziana Mancini, "Migrants and smartphones. Maps, routes, tracks, crossings, landings and links" (11.30AM).

Through the Open-Up call, CSEIA has contributed to the financing of the publication, in open access form, of literature reviews or essays in national or international scientific journals, or the publication of monographs, on issues related to the concept of risk, in its various forms. This in order to contribute to the dissemination of the scientific research activity of the University of Parma on issues of relevance to CSEIA, reducing the costs borne by the teaching and research staff and promoting high-level publications.
