Luca Romano is a PhD student in Public International Law at the University of Parma’s Department of Law, Politics and International Studies, where he also earned a master’s degree in international and European Relations. Alongside his academic studies, he has gained practical experience in this field through various training opportunities, including as a volunteer at the FAO national office in Quito, Ecuador, and as an intern at the OECD’s Sustainable Investment Unit in Paris. His PhD thesis focuses on the international protection of the human right to food, with particular attention to sustainability and environmental issues. His main research interests include international human rights law and sustainable development
